  • Comments: I would give it a 5 but the timing folks had a ton of issues and when I went to help someone get an obvious issue fixed the timing person's behavior was rude/mean. Luckily, the race director got the problem solved in a hurry when she became aware of the issue. Team Magic puts on top notch races and I will continue to do there races as long as I can race. I believe I am generally very forgiving,but I would not bring back the timing company "A Matter of Timing", based on the behavior exhibited.

  • Comments: I love team magic and enjoy all their races. Plenty of water support which was good for those rough conditions. The bike course was a little congested, but everything else was great!

  • Comments: This was my first triathlon so I have nothing to compare it to. It was a good experience, and I am happy that I ranked 1st in my AG, but feel I could have done better.

  • Comments: I was somewhat disappointed in the level of organization for scheduled activities and the swim start. They left it up to us to line up which resulted in a massive clod of people close to the starting mats on the beach. Pre-race meeting was done from memory, but they did cover most everything. The only thing that really chapped me was the speed in which the USAT officials were travelling around on their motorcycles. Not shocking that they are faster than cyclists, but they were zooming around well in excess of the posted speed limit. It was unnecessarily fast and unsafe. The event location makes it a good one. The Hangout on the beach is a fun atmosphere and a great place to start and finish a race with adequate parking nearby. Plenty of room for packet pickup, awards, after race party, etc. I will likely participate in this event again next year.

  • Comments: had some strange issue at the start. delayed for unknown reason. Typical strong event by team magic. great volunteers. results seem a little slow, but not complaining.

  • Comments: I raced as clydesdale and won the division. I have never won a division or age group except on a relay. Even though it was the mini sprint and I raced clydesdale I gotta say I am thrilled to win a division. 10 years of racing, from mini's to ironman and back down to mini's, but hey I won! Fun day, nice race. Only issue I have is the race timing had issues. My total time is 47 seconds longer than my watch and others in my category said the same thing. They went back and adjusted the times, but it didn't change the total.

  • Comments: Solid race for me. Getting late in the season and I had felt flat over the last 2 weeks so decided to do the super sprint rather than the olympic. Lots of the top local guys raced the olympic and that helped my overall placing in this race . Always fun to do a short one and see whats in the tank. It was another hot day and I was glad I stuck to the shorter distance. Team Magic always does a great job.

  • Comments: Beautiful day and Team Magic put on a great race and post race. Great breakfast for the sprint finishers and lunch for the olympic racers. Great venue and cooler weather this year made the race even more fun. My first WIN with a first place Master's finish.

  • Comments: well run race and a beautiful day. My watch didn't agree with clock, according to watch I was 17 seconds faster in t2 and 5 seconds slower on the run. Not sure what happened, not a big deal. I raced as clydesdale but would have finished the same if I had raced age group. Encouraged that I am moving back in the right direction. Would like to get back to longer races but any racing is fun.

  • Comments: Good race. Would definitely recomend the Alabama Coastal Triathlon. Team Magic did a good job organizing the race and it was very well run. There was also an Oly distance race. I'm glad I chose this as my first tri. Had a great time.
