I missed the Columbus Half cut off and really looking for a Trail Half Marathon in October.  Let me know if you have any reccomendations.

Oct 27th is out, but Oct 28th is open.  Coming up from Louisville, KY area on 27th so can do that area also (North to Columbus, or Indy is there is a race on 28th)

Thanks so much!  Kristin

Thank you, just what I am looking for but need a couple of more weeks - so if you run across anything else, please forward.

I did remember the Greenswell races in Columbus area in October - they have a 5k, 10k and 15k so I'm getting there.

Towpath HM.  Check it out!  I did it last year, and it's a wonderful race.

Is the Towpath HM on the pavement?  I know when I have riden the Towpath on my bike it's pavement.   I am strictly looking for "trail" course.  THANKS!

Most of it is trail!  Take a look at the course map online.  Don't know if they changed things up or not.

Its not Columbus but Cincinnati and the Stone Steps 50K is then...they also have a 27K option.

That makes me hurt just thinking about it!

It does sound fun, though... perhaps in 2013.

Yep!  I am running the 27K option.  It is ALL trails, but VERY hilly.  I live close and run there a lot.  It is on Oct 28th, too .

Okay - I better start with a 'baby' one before I get too the big hills option.  Thanks for the feedback.

I did the Midsummer Night's Trail Run at Mt. Airy last month and it looks like the route my Garmin mapped out is pretty close to the bigger loop of the 50k. It WAS hilly! It's challenging terrain, too, as far as roots and rocks and etc. The guy behind me fell 2 or 3 times and I almost bit it the one time I took my eyes off my feet!
