True story, short version:
Warming up/loading the car for weekend trip. Guy steals the car from driveway when I go in to get another load of stuff.
Come out, car is gone, yell to wife to call cops, take off in my car.
No idea where guy went, driving randomly, just about to give up and I find him.
Follow him coordinating over cell phone to cop in my driveway, radio to the dispatch for next town over.
Cops swoop in, arrest him, I get my car back.
They ask me how I found him. I said...
"I'm Batman."
Got a Batman suit for my birthday that year.
I did the same thing when I was 14.
Dad walked outside, no car. Called cops, reported it. I went to school.
On my way back from school, I look over and see our car driving out of a trailer park.
My sister was driving us so I say "That's our car! Follow him!"
We follow him until we see him jump on the interstate so we grab the phone at a gas station (remember the days before cell phones).
Cops chase the Perp into Baltimore. He ditches the car and runs.
I guess I've always been Batman and didn't know it...
My kids love the "I'm Batman Supercut" on Youtube. When one says "I'm hungry" or "I'm thirsty", the other always says "I'm Batman"...
