Subject: WTB: Clip-On Aerobars

I finished my first tri a couple weeks ago and I am hooked. I'm looking to spend the winter improving everything and would like to give aerobars a shot. I bought a set of Syntace C3's off of Craigslist but didn't know that that model came in different sizes and ended up with a large and I can't reach the ends unless my elbows are on the pads and with all the curves in the bars I can't just make them shorter so now I'm looking to try again.

I'd like to keep it as cheap as possible, please tell me what you have and how much you want for them.

Thanks!

I have a pair of Profile Design Century Areobars.  They are a bit older than this model but pretty much the same.  The pads are still good as well as the bars.  Top of the bar has blue tape on it for gripping purposes. I'd be willing to let it go for $25.00 plus shipping.

If he's not interested in them, I am. I was looking for some for my first tri coming up in October. Sorry to hijack the thread OP.

I'll wait for a response from original poster.  If he doesn't want them we can move forward.

Thanks a ton for the offer but I'd really like to get something with a little more adjustability to hopefully avoid the problem I have now with too long of a reach.

Nashbar has Profile Design CSX in medium on sale for $75. That's a killer deal on some really light extensions.

I have some Easton Aeroforce Mod clip-ons.  Includes the ski bend extensions, and the pad set up.  If you're interested, I'll let them go for $50.  Don't have any pictures on here at work, but if you're interested, I can email some pics tonight when I get home.

I have a set of Carbon Stryke clip-ons I would let go for $80 shipped to the lower 48.  Still in pretty good condition.  I bought them used and only had them on my bike for half a season.

I've got a set of Profile Design T1+.  They can be viewed here: http://www.profile-design.com/profile-design/products/aerobars/aluminum-aerobars/t1-plus.html.  They can be adjusted for length, the poistion of the pads moved, and rotated.  I actually ride on the Syntace C3's and currently have the Profiles clamped onto a spin bike.  If you're interested, I'll trade you for them.  Looking online, my bars look to be lower priced than the C3's you have.  I didn't like the plastic armrests on on the Profiles compared to what I was used to and had drilled out a set of carbon HED cups to make them fit.  At $100 for the HED cups, it was a rather expensive fix, but I'll throw them in and you can use whichever you like better.  I can send actual pics later from home.

Lots of offers here but I'll jump in.  I have the exact opposite problem.  I picked these up in the spring, hoping to get used to tri bars on my road bike and they are too short for me.  I have a long torso and at full extension, I am still a little cramped.

I'd be willing to make a fair trade, assuming you still have the C3's.  I paid $55 for them in the spring.  Almost no wear - just me trying them out.

Here is what I have.  They are full adjustable,

Let me know.
