I'm thankful for TriBike Transport. My bike will be waiting for me inside the stadium next to transition (hopefully!).

I'd heard about the rainforest and ziplines... I was hoping they were closer to the San Juan end of the island.

The problem with TBT (for me) is that you are without your bike for quite some time. I want to ride in San Juan!

Interesting.  I was going under the assumption that the bike would be there pretty much when I arrived (I get there on Thursday the 14th).

That does bring up a question:  Any idea if there will be an opportunity to pre-ride any of the course, or is that not likely because it's on a highway?

I think that I'm much more interested in jogging one loop of the run course to get an idea of it (or, just walk it while playing tourist at the forts).

Ahh, yeah, you're there a lot earlier than me.  It would suck to be there that long and not be able to ride at all.  You should be much more acclimated to the heat than I will be come race day!

I am without my tri bike from tomorrow until I get there, but I've got another bike to ride here on the trainer, so it isn't so bad.  I'm just hoping that I'll have an opportunity to ride it there before the race.

I liked that as well

I was totally going to leave it at home, but that has me thinking that I'm definitely packing it.

I never would have thought for a minute that there would even be a chance of it being cool enough.

I wish I was going Monday, but I'm not far behind ya and arrive on Thursday

I don't know that I'll do any scuba (not licensed), but I am soooo looking forward to snorkeling and free diving some reefs. I do know that I want to avoid any possibility of getting sunburned BEFORE the race.  I really don't care how burnt I get after it, hehe

I'm taking the weekend to do my last medium-long run and last minute shopping for summer clothes.

I cannot believe that it is here, already!

Bib# 773 Cool

Forecast looks interesting...

http://www.accuweather.com/en/pr/san-juan/00927/daily-weather-forecast/275478?day=6

83 degrees with the heat index making it feel like 85. That tropical sun is going to be rough, though.

ENE winds at 11mph w/ gusts to 17.

Some rain. "Brief shower or two".   <-- I'm not sure how to take this one.

Overall, those winds should make the bike legs away from San Juan very fast. Heading back in may be a little tiring (as Ernesto pointed out earlier in the thread), so take advantage of the wind when you can, I guess

The showers would be really nice on the run. Wink
