Pre-race routine:

Dana and I stayed at the Days Inn. It was forgettable and her mattress smelled like vomit.

Event warmup:

Starbucks at 6...went and got organized and left around 7:05 a.m.

Comments:

Pancake flat. Wind picked up throughout the day. Perfect riding weather. Rode with tshirt, jersey and bibs. Socks. No arm warmers, hat or long sleeve windbreaker.

Course:	We did the Metric version -- 65 miles. It was wonderful weather and very laid back. There were two rest stops one at mile 20 ish and one at mile 42. Dana rented a Fuji from Big Wheel Bikes and enjoyed everything except her saddle. We were on back country roads for about 90 percent of the way. All day, we probably only saw 15-20 cars. Amazingly low traffic.
