They have trash pickup at my apartment at 8pm. I swear they look like the walkers...

Very suspenseful with Herschel. Is he a walker now?

Meh. Herschel's CPR scene gave me a jump. Liked when the cons tried to jump the walkers. Otherwise a little predictable. Who was watching the Z C-section from the bushes?

I can guess based on the previews.

Great episode tonight. I like how Rick has gone all badass.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing on the CPR scene.  PSA: NEVER give CPR in a zombie apocalypse, EVER.

I was surprised they offed the other prisoners so quickly.  I could have seen an episode or two of strife from those guys, but it was definitely a great episode.

In the comics, they last a little longer. Not a lot, but more than 5 minutes after one of them tries to kill Rick.

p.s. The prisoner who tries to get Rick killed looks a lot more like The Governor in the comics than the guy playing him in the show.

(Throwing a little gasoline on the fire)  You CAN'T do CPR on someone who is lying on a springing cot on the bottom of a bunk bed.  The person needs to be on a firm surface and you need to be directly over them to provide enough pressure to compress the chest and have the sternum squeeze the heart.  On a bed, the person just sinks into the bed.  It doesn't work.  I've done it a few times and it's scary how far in you have to puch to effectively perform CPR.

Which begs another question.  Why haven't they gotten some clean clothes in 8 months?  They have free clothes at all the shopping malls, but they haven't said "this shirt can stand-up on its own,  I'm gonna get a new one."

I think because all of the stores have been ransacked.. but I agree it is a little strange.   Little spoiler here, they address this while in the prison and they end up wearing prison jumpsuits

At least Rick has finally changed out of his deputy's uniform.

I always wondered the same damn thing about the cars.  Acres and acres of abandoned cars, not to mention the dealerships they must have passed, and Dale insisted on a broke down Winnebago that was held together with baling wire.

And just when you thought we were going to FINALLY get away from the "Carl, stay in the house," crap, they have him wonder off on his own getting medical supplies.

True, that was the most improbable part of the series...

By the way, books 5-8 are in a shared-book basket in my building.  Any of you Walking Dead comic book readers recommend I start from 5 or should I go back to the beginning?

The lady who runs the place where the books are said they come-in and go out.  Only condition is that you bring them back when you're done with it.

Edited to add SARC font.  Clearly the most improbable part of the series is that there was any food left in a pantry after all those years.

TV almost never gets CPR right.  Heck, even the American Heart Assoc video blows it here and there.  Mainly because you can't do CPR on a conscious person.  Well you can, but it would be pretty painful.  A agree though, I saw that too with the bed.  But, it WAS a prison bed.  I think they did compressions on a dummy once or twice in the scene though because when they did a close up I remember thinking "Wow, that's a legit compression depth".  But on the wide shots when it was really Hershel, she was just bouncing.

I can hear the scene now if a live person dies, "Quick, you do CPR until I get back with an axe!"

I can see Dale wanting the keep the big W.  Older motors are more mechanical and less computerized (if at all) which would make them much easier to work on if you had no electricity, therefore computers.  That's the down side of a lot of our computerized motors and other equipment, if the computer fails, the whole thing fails.  You can bend or duct tape a mechanical part and make it work until you can loot an auto parts store.  If it wasn't for the product placement money, I would imagine that you would see more older cars on the roads after the zombie apocalypse.  At least until all the gas went bad.

Get Compendium One, which is books 1-4. book 5 [should] take over AFTER this season - and there are some major spoilers

The prisoners were only in the kitchen for 10 months, which was shortly after the 'riot'  The Prison should have had enough food to feed 5,000 for a few days.  So a day of meals would be 15,000.  6 people x 3 meals x 10 months = 5,000 meals... so they only would have eaten the equivalent of 1/3 of one day at the prison.

Now if you want to talk far fetched - lets talk about the cleanliness of characters in 'Revolution'

Am I missing something on how the virus works?

"We're all infected".  So when you die, you come back, regardless of cause of death.

BUT, if you get bit, you get the fever, die, then come back.

Is it something else that's activated from the bite of a walker?

I think a zombie bite is full of infectious agents. Some might be very rapid, like Ebola, and lead to a fairly quick death. Others, like rabies, take a little while. But a bite can never be a good thing in a world that has few available antibiotics.

I'd be grabbing a Hummer from the closest military base with lots of automatic weapons and ammo.  Heck with the crossbows and handguns.  If the vehicle breaks down, just go steal another one.  I would never work on a vehicle again.

This is an issue with all post-apocalyptic shows on TV and movies. Think about Revolution - 15 years after all the power goes out, apparently we still have the ability to curl and style hair (but not to make more whiskey).

Automatic would only be good for humans for the Z's I would want simi-auto.
