Article

Interesting "article" lists the top 100 male athletes of all time.  Dave Scott is 85 and Crowie is 58.  Sadly they were both beat out by Brad Pitt (57) Yell and Richard Simmons (20) Surprised. LA was #8.  There were some other cyclists and runners in there.  Pix not hard to look at either Laughing

wait, how did brad pittmake that list...did i miss something?!

He and a few other "fit" actors made the list. Seriously?!

Wait - stop right there - #37 ED Viesturs! MY HERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That man is AWESOME - i'm a bit obsessed with his climbing career.

Let's try to just keep this one to triathlon ...

and life, the universe, and everything, 'kay?

Oh, Lordy.

So, I mentioned in the previous thread that I got a cramp in my right calf at the end of my run last night. I stretched it. Soaked it in a hot bath. Slept on it. And it's still a little sore this morning. I've not had this happen before (that I can remember), so I don't know what else to do? I'm scheduled to run 3-4 tonight, so I'd like it to be in tip-top shape.

Advice?

I'm a bit late but I think.. don't run today.

Hi guys an gals. Thanks for the enquiries, been on my hols then v. busy at work once back. Add to that the fact that i started smoking again whilst in TurkeyFrown and my mojo went a little bit too far south. Gave myself a big kick up the b*ckside and feel a lot better for it.

Back on the non smoking meds so I should be back in the clean air society by the end of the weekend. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Just started back on the jogging and am planning a final event before the end of the the year. The 'Evil Sheriff' duathlon calls to me. Should be a lot of fun, running through Sherwood Forest, if the November weather holds out.

I seem to have missed a lot af chit chat and no doubt a few RR's. Well done to all of you who have completed races recently. I have been thinking about you Manatees despite not getting onto the site that often.

Unfortunately for you lot, I'm back.

Welcome back to the best of British!  Quit the cancer sticks.

Clint and I with a manatee---I've posted this before, but its one of the few shots I have of us together--and it has a manatee!Laughing

oh yeah, I just found this in my email too--I can't post it on Facebook, cause of some magazine rule--this was a pic used in an article about zookeeping in Comstock Magazine-I think its a local thing, but anyway, that's me (the human) with a Leaf Tailed Gecko.

oops--sorry Yanti, I really did not even think about your gecko issues! Sealed....its just such a great pic...of him!

Gosh, I hate Thursdays.  They are my super busy/long days so I barely login to my work email, never mind anything else.  I only found the new thread cause I was looking at the forums...and there are already 3 pages!  Holy moly.

I too am loving all the SO pics.  Allen, nice to see you.  Good job on the re-quitting.  Yanti, that cake looks absolutely like it would fit in at a pride parade.  And blue icing out the nose, fantastic!  It's no wonder where your joie-de-vivre comes from!

I got on the drainer again tonight, just another shorty 30 minutes.  I was going to do a bit of a run too, but the pineapple express has arrived on Track number 1 and I can't see the caboose.... Didn't want to have soaking wet orthotics for work tomorrow...

Happy Friday to everyone!

Hey, heads up. Janyne was in a bike/car incident this week. Not bad, it looks like she is fine, but maybe stop in and drop her an inspire.

So SBUX opened in India today. It's been a crazy, crazy process and really amazing to watch unfold. One of the biggest challenges was setting aside our "Western Lense"  while looking at design, operations ... everything.

A pretty iconic moment:
