35, 65 and 100 mi rides available... I'm thrilled about the sustainability aspect of the ride - they're composting all the food scraps, recycling/composting waste and are carbon neutral!

Santa Cruz - July 23
Sebastopol - August 20 (Good for all you Sonoma/Napa Co folk)

The SC routes are likely going to be pretty hill-intensive. Century ride is "difficult" and the other two are "moderate". Start is <1 hr from my house, so I'm likely to do this one.

In Sebastopol, all rides are labeled "moderate".

Please check it out and let me know if you're interested in meeting up.

Thank you for supporting this green event!!!

Kelly

Whereabouts do you train ? I'm debating about doing my first bike event (century?) having just got my bike last w/e

Just not sure if I'll be ready for the "hilly" rides of SC by Jul 23rd . The few rides I've done so far have been on Rt. 9 (around LG/Saratoga )

Any idea how well organized this event might be ?

Me and my BF are thinking about doing the 65 mile option in SC.  We haven't committed yet, but it's very likely.

I'll keep you posted, be nice to say hi.

Hey, we're not going to do that one after all.  7100 feet of climbing seemed a little TOO hill-intensive.

ummmm...yeah.  agreed.  i did the marin century last year and it was ROUGH.  100 miles is long...100 miles with LOTS of climbing...even longer.

maybe you want to check out the sebastopol one?  says it's less hilly.
