Run # 3 in the books.  Just went over 100 miles for the month, first time since May of 2008  !!!

Definitely would not have done that without this challenge.  funny (sad) part is I have more run miles than bike miles

Way to go!!! I was thinking about organizing a cycling challenge next month.. lol...

I had and hr of Bootcamp im the wind and rain today.  Good Times. Gotta get a run in.

I love bootcamp workouts. Thats how I started thinking about doing triathlons. The one's I've done at the Y usually involve a lot of running.

Well you know I am glad you hit 100 miles but I am sure disappointed by your second part of the second sentence - somehow I don't think that surprises you!!!!

Great job either way - but don't be hating your bike!

Not hating on the bike, just not pushing myself to get out for road rides.  Put the road bike on the trainer (and haven't wanted to take it off) that would have another 40 - 50 miles if I tracked it that way.  When I have been outside, I have been more inclined to go play in the dirt so not getting the miles in that I would in the same available time.  I may have to get a couple of rides in the next two days so the bike is over the run.

Kate, as for a bike challenge next month ??  Maybe, I am looking for a balance between the two

So i ran 2x today!  My kids had their Turkey Trot today (which was canceled on origional day b/c of rain.  So I trotted with my 3rd grader for 1mile then turned around and trotted back up the path to find my 1st grader and brought him in!   Good times.

Got home and had a snack then ran another 4.

Awesome job!!! I got my run cancelled yesterday by life circumstances and this morning I ended up talking to my husband till it was too late to go. I will try to run tonight. Tough stuff at work yesterday which put me in a tailspin.

I need a HTFU moment with myself...

Got run number 5 in the books for the week.  I had a nice 7 mile run - unfortunately the whole run was 8.2 Cry.  Just lost all energy and ambition.  Wanted to get home.  Ended up blowing off riding this afternoon and put up outside lights instead.  I am thinking about a rest day tomorrow and then launch the 4x4 next week.

I love that comment!  And now I see that Kate has thrown down another challenge.  I'm thinking about it.

I've been babying the feet and doing the stretches, etc.  Went on some light test runs to see what held up and where I had problems.  And then yesterday I was able to not only start the 50k, I finished it!  Yay!

But because of the resting of the foot, I missed some of my workouts for this challenge.

Week 1: 5

Week 2: 5

Week 3: 5

Week 4: 2

Week 5: 4

Kate, I really enjoyed this challenge and I loved getting to know so many of you.  Thanks for hosting this challenge!

Congrats on finishing your 50k Pam. I am training for a spring Half in March and am heading into my 2nd week for 16 week training program. I am gonna try to maintain a 4X a week up to the race. If you can join me, great :=)

What is your spring Half?  I love HMs.  I may do one more marathon (to see if I can break the curse and actually PR on it) but after that, I want to settle down with short course tris and HMs.  Much more fun.
