Run
Comments: great day - a little chilly, but not terrible - warmed up during run - only my right hand was freezing. Took my own fuel belt, drank a little at 2.5 - 3 mile mark, but just kept running. Watched my heart rate, tried to keep it in the mid-150's the first couple miles, then just let it go wherever. 2012: 43;19 960/3130 overall 21/146 age group 2011: 46:56 2010: 51:09 What would you do differently?: nothing. love this race :) Post race
Warm down: walked back to the finish to cheer on Courtney - -missed her (she was right behind me). What limited your ability to perform faster: nothing. Event comments: Love all of the people dressed up. Great atmosphere, fun race. Soup is delicious after the race and the premiums are always top of the line. Last updated: 2012-11-03 12:00 AM

pick up packet on Thursday. Steak, sweet potatoe and asparagus dinner night before race. Breakfast of english muffin yogurt and hot tea.
Left house at 7:15am, parked in Hopkins garage and jogged with my daughter Courtney to the tent. Got timing chip and headed to porta pot line. Then back to check in backpack. Dynamic stretches and short jog around the parking lot to stay warm. (wore running shorts, running tights, short sleeve shirt and long sleeve shirt, gloves - ears were cold, but warmed up during the run).
