Pre-race routine:

We got our maps 2 hours ahead of time to plan our route.
There were a few additions we needed to make to the map before the race - like where the water stops were and they had us mark 2 or 3 spots where the nettles were really bad so we could be prepared or avoid those areas.
Event warmup:

Other than the route planning, no real warm-up.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nutrition! We didn't have enough salty/fatty things to eat. I was gagging on those stupid gels and sports drinks, and couldn't stand the nutrition bars by the end of it. Next time we'll pack beef jerky, nuts, regular sandwiches, etc.

How cool is this!  I love orienteering.  Ok it's just a small hobby for me, local meets 1-2 X/year.  So I think you doing ROGAINE is really something!
