Comments: pushed it - stroke, breathe, stroke, breathe. It was too short to relax into and the lanes were crowded What would you do differently?: Not even try to get into a long dist rhyth. Just go all out from the get go. Transition 1
Comments: small T area. Felt pretty good - equip limits considered What would you do differently?: It's time to get MTB lace-ups and drop the sox. Bike
Comments: popped the chain in mile 11. Chain got wedged between the cassette and the frame. took some time to get it out and back in the saddle. The ride was pretty crappy. Felt slow, the road sucked - my crotch went numb. Ate a gel at mi 11 to prep for run. that was a GOOD idea. What would you do differently?: New shoes, new seat - I have no idea what to do about the road. I could have eaten a gel at bike start. might have given me a bit more pep. I find it hard to drink on the bike. Transition 2
Comments: fast What would you do differently?: nothing other than getting other bike shoes to go faster. Run
Comments: It hurt. Walked once to relieve the pain - then it was decent the rest of the run. Felt slow - esp at start. What would you do differently?: Not sure - just tired. Post race
Warm down: walking - food, turkey, bread, a few chips - some sugar laden slush drink and a cookie? bleh. What limited your ability to perform faster: tired. 4 races in 4 weeks makes for a slow last race. I also did too much the last week and was not rested properly. Event comments: Bike course road was horrid. Pool race was also not great. It was an OK race - the people were fun and nice. Last updated: 2006-05-17 12:00 AM
