This is just in raw metal.  I have a lot of work yet to do, but have over 8 hours in just the front wheel.  I am making this for a juried art show and hoping they will let my hobby art in.

I do like it very much.  I wonder if it might be improved just a bit with matching the smaller wheel's spoke pattern with the larger wheel's.     Just a suggestion, hope you don't mind.

Yes, MadMath, I tried to get a similar patter on the rear and it looked too busy and even my wife thought so.  I also tried a star in the center and also a straight spoke and attempted a spiral center and work out slowly to the outside and that one I didn't even save the parts from it it was so bad.  This is the best of what I have tried.  I know from many picutres of a penny farthing the rear wheel has very few spokes, so I was trying to not make it look "over done".  I have had that problem with other wheels and had to start again.  They looked good in my mind.  :-)

And I am always open to suggestions.  I finished some pieces (still raw metal like the PF above) that are on my FB page for a cattleman's association, and was asked if I could do more of the bull's head, and make changes.  Yes, always open to new ideas.

Thanks Dave.  I will be adding two more wheel clocks in the next week, if time allows.

Very Nice Flip!

Thank you!

Edit:

Someone asked me about the size.  It is a 52" front wheel.  Approximates are 56" tall by 70" wide.
