Pre-race routine:

There wasn't much of one. Was tired so stomach was a bit off; it was freezing so I got my bib and went straight back to the car.

Warm down:

Little bit of stretching, chocolate-chip banana bread. Then realized I was back to freezing, so I grabbed hot chocolate and headed for the car.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I wasn't exactly training for this one because I'm training for a marathon instead. It is a hilly and difficult course, and I've been doing a lot more indoor running than I usually do. Still, it was a solid effort and an improvement last year's time.

Course: Gradual and then less gradual climb for the first few miles. It peaks near mile 6, descends for a bit and then climbs sharply until mile 8. Downhill and basically flat from mile 8 to the end.
