Post race
Warm down:

Packed up and went home

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I think I was too tired and sore to have a good day. I liked the swim since it was my first swim with waves like these. This is the first time in probably 5-6 years that I really seriously felt like not finishing the race. I am glad I did...still no DNF's in 19 years of racing!

Event comments:

Good for the first year 3 disciplines is well run organization.

I concur. I didn't think the swells in the lake were that bad at all, but I guess it is relative. I will agree with the wind on the bike and the run. I totally think there was a headwind each and every direction on that damn bike course!  For the run, I couldn't get my HR down either. There was something in the air.  Good job on having the big heart and not giving up. Anybody can sign up for these and quit halfway through. You did what a triathlete does, and that is adapt and overcome. You finished, and that is why we do it.

Good luck on the next one....
