Subject: RE: hey old triathletes Fuel appropriately before a workout. Always re-fuel appropriately after a workout (each one - even if there are several in a day). Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Then re-hydrate as needed. Perhaps most importantly - SLEEP. This is one that truly can minimize aches and allows the body to recover (not just the brain/mind, but physiologically - the hormonal milieu won't be right without sleep, and that'll make you feel like poop). These seem to be consistently needed across all people. And for the record, the dog/cat cartoon is awesome. We now have 2 dogs, a rodent, a half dozen frogs and eleventy-three-gagillion kinds of fish in the house - but we never did replace our three cats. They poop in a box… It's the only pet request from the kids that gets NO consideration. Matt |
