I slipped on the ice a few weeks ago and have been out from training. My training has been minimal, swam 3500 yds yesterday and haven't biked or ran for a few weeks. My goal is to complete IMTX. Before this I had completed a few 3.5 and 4 hr rides and long runs up to 12 miles. I am having second thoughts about being able to complete the IM. I feel comfortable for my HIM in Galveston, though. I updated my logs and was following Finks plan. January went well, and I have not been too consistent. What would you do?

Are you recovered from your fall?  If so, start rebuilding consistency as quickly as you are able.  If not, do whatever you can while you recover (e.g., swim every day if that doesn't impact your recovery negatively).  Evaluate your race plans as you see how things develop.  Not exactly sure what you are asking, though.

mrbeachbum2 - 2013-03-13 11:15 PM  What would you do?

Train smart the rest of the way, and race knowing that I didn't nail my training.

You can still have a great and rewarding race.
