From what we have seen if you respond to them on "your" log's inspires they won't get a response. Wife and I occasionally inspire each other on here and you don't know until you log back in to the training logs and see that there are more inspires.

The answer is 'yes', if the user who inspired you originally checks their 'blogged' area (picture below) they will see any new dates that someone (them, you or others) left an inspire where they originally left one.

From what I have seen, the etiquette has evolved to where you copy their comment they left, go to their log and inspire them back, pasting their comment first that your responding too for referance.

Have you left a comment in anothers log and that SAME entry has been commented on?  Just navigate to the 'Blogged' area of your blog and click on the link.  In doing so, you will be taken to that users training log and comments for that day.  Also, comments made by others in your blog appear here too.  Just an easy way to keep track of things.  See example below:

I answer this question fairly frequently and can see a need for some flexibility and clarification.

Flexibility:
How about adding a second button to the Inspire window so the user can choose to "Reply Here" or "Reply in Sender's Log"? If they choose the latter, the original message could be automatically quoted.

Clarification:
Rename the heading "Blogged!" to "Inspired!"

Or atleast have the time also under the "blogged" section.  If you and another person are conversing via the Inspires, its hard to tell if they responded back after the first one.

 so, just to be sure, you should SEE where someone has replied to YOUR original "inspire" by checking this list on the page? because..... i have tried going back to people's logs, to see if my responses showed up, but i didn't see that they did. or is it that once the user READS it, it's no longer displayed on the list???
