Comments:

Thought this leg went OK, but pace was a bit off. Perhaps the course was long or I didn't give 'er enough, not sure. Certainly felt good coming out.

Kick

Ride faster!

Comments:

Run didn't go too badly. Hammer prods seemed to keep my guts out of trouble.
What would you do differently?:

Run faster, of course.
Post race
Warm down:

Hung out in the shade and waited for Ian to arrive.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Still learning the fine line of leaving something on the bike and bonking badly on the run. Still erring on the side of caution and probably am leaving a bit on the bike.

Event comments:

Overall a decent finish for my 3rd tri ever.

Nice Race!

You could probably squeeze a bit more out of the bike without worrying about the run. A rule of thumb is that if you lose more than 10% in time between a normal running race and your running time in a particular tri, you either need more bike training or you pushed too hard on the bike.

Since this is my first tri season, I haven't really had a chance to compare runs year to year...is there any other way to know if I've left too much on the bike? Perhaps compare the run pace to a normal zone 3 or 4 running pace?

Compare your tri run with a run of the same distance that was not preceeded by a bike and swim. I really didn't explain that very well.
