Bike sucked. Should have got at least 2 or 3 more long rides in,but, considering the winter I had, is what it is. Felt better going into Soma last October with all those long death rides on the rez in!!!
What would you do differently?:

Got more long rides in.

Both transitions weren't as sharp as they could of been today, but......

Comments:

Hot run! Kept ice in my shirt and a cube in each hand to help stay focused and cool.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Could have got more long rides in but fought being sick all winter. REALLY wished I could have got a sprint in before this race, just to get back into race mode....

Event comments:

This race was awesome!!!! Plenty of volunteers and finally something for the kids to do!!!! Really wished I could have done a race before this just to get the rust off, but, is what it is. I did a poor job of removing negative thoughts during the race. In the end, this was a great, challenging race! Loved the run course, medal, kidszone, and food afterwards. This was definitely the hottest long race I've done so far.

Sounds like you did okay...all things considered over your winter.

Try SOMA in October and that one gets a little toasty too.

Good job powering through the race.

Leadman was a TOUGH way to start the season.  Great job, and best of luck in your races for the rest of the year!!

No worries Todd - this is just a warm up for November!  Now you know where you stand with respect to training, and after last year's training, you should be set with a plan to rock IM AZ.  Sorry I did not see you out there Sunday...
