Injinjis as I would always blister I fee my toe nails with anything over 30Miles I can do 50's now wearing them with no issues however have not found anything for blistering for the 100- lost 4 toe nails due to blister on that and they were both big toes and both little toes the ones I use to have issues with where the ones right next to the big toe? I believe for me separating the toes keeps the moisture away

x2 on the Injinji's. I wear them exclusively.

I did a 50m in the snow, changed them 5 times, and only got 1 blister. My first ever. I still call it a success.

Thanks.  I'll give 'em a try.  My wife loves them.  I run anything <HM in VFFs so shouldn't be bothersome to have the toe hugs.

+1 injinjis: I just did a 50 in a pair of the injinji trail socks and they were great.  I had originally planned to change socks after 25, but they were still very comfortable.  I did have to buy them through ebay as they weren't available on the injinji site.

REI carries them and several store have the new 2.0 in stock as well. Try to find the new 2.0

I did have to completely get out of mine during the last lap at Umstead as my feet were soooo swollen it felt like my toes were gonna bust thru the socks......was a relief to get them off but then where my toes were swollen it was now skin on skin and kinda burned that last loop...but I am a big believer in them!!! Even through some of my 50 milers and 50K have had lots of creek crossing and even wet they didnt cause any issues at all

I wore the injinji ( i cant ever remember the spelling) on my beach 50m.  Shoes full of sand, wet, etc for 12 hours.  No issues at all.  Im a pretty big fan.  ps - how was the weather at WHite Lake this year?  That is an awesome race

Last weekend was nice, cool, overcast, some chop in the swim.  The HIM there last month had 54 deg F big chop water, turn buoy floated away....

I'm heading to REI tomorrow for some socks.  Thanks all.

I cant handle the in between the toes feeling... so I go with Drymax.

I use these:

http://www.drymaxsocks.com/extremerunning.php

And these:

Very happy with both versions but the max get a bit warm on me in the Summer.

Injinji are very personal....a love em or hate em kind of thing.

Personally, I hate em.

For long runs & races, I've switched to Wrightsock. They're double layer and I've never had a blister issue in them.

Thanks all. So I was looking for good socks hoping my issues with my new hoka bondi bs could be fixed with socks. Short story is I love the injinis and hate the bondis. Just too much shoe for this minimalist kid. It's an expensive lesson but now I know. I'm saving for some Newton distance unless you folks have a better suggestion. I normally run HIM in Merrill gloves.

It's an expensive lesson that you can avoid. I've learned the tough way like you did with blowing money on shoes. I only buy from runningwarehouse.com now. Great service, good prices and a 90 day no questions asked return policy! ...oh yeah and free shipping.

I won't even consider the Hokas. I know lots of people like them, but I do much better with a more minimal shoe.

Another 50k, in the humid, hot, texas heat and no blisters with my Ininiji's. I started out in my Brooks trail shoe, but my legs felt terrible the first couple miles in. Changed to my backup Minimus and wore those for the last 20. No issues.

Anyway...I still heart the Ininiji's.
