Subject: Tri shop near Roanoke/Smith Mtn Lake?
Can anyone suggest a tri shop in the area of Roanoke/Smith Mountain Lake? I'm going to be down in that area next week. I need to pick up a tri suit (which I'd rather try on rather than buy online) and a few other things, and I most likely won't be able to get to my local shop before I head out of town. Would be sweet if I can just plan to shop while I'm down there.

Thanks for any recommendations!

The Fleet Feet in Roanoke is both a run and tri shop. I think it's on Franklin Road.

Fleet Feet is a great store and is on Franklin/US 220 south right out in front of Lowe's (they've moved from where they used to be at another spot on Franklin). You could also try Just The Right Gear on 311.

Unfortunately, there really isn't really a tri specific store in Roanoke.

Thanks, both. That's not too far from where I'm staying.

I didn’t used to like to run slow. You begin to recalibrate your needs and wants and if-only you could jog an easy two miles, three times per week. Running is a gift.

The triathlon made a lot of sense as I could fit the training around early mornings and other times that wouldn't eat too much into my family time. Things never go completely to plan do they?

When first going aero, your shop should begin by putting you in the least aggressive position. This means the aerobar pads will be almost level or just below the saddle.
