Comments: this year I've been placed in later waves due to age-group change (M40-44) and it seems to be MUCH MORE chaotic due to additional swimmers What would you do differently?: not much Transition 1

Comments: good pace but when I started I went to put my computer view on cadence and hit the wrong button and blanked out everything! I couldn't tell how fast I was going or what my cadence was for the entire race! sucks because I shoot for a specific speed sometimes (lets me know if I should be pushing it harder) and I've been keeping track of cadence to adjust gears and not mash too much! What would you do differently?: set my computer for cadence when i rack my bike - not sure if it automatically will reset to actual time when it goes to sleep Transition 2

Comments: HORRIBLE! I guess this is where the alcohol from the night before hurts you - i think I was very dehydrated - my previous TRI runs this year have been around 24 minutes - I just hit a wall and I guess it was due to the heat and the night before and I think if I had eaten something more in the morning and drank my routine coffee things might have been a little different What would you do differently?: not drink the night before - I kind of had to though - very special occasion and lots of family in town that I don't get to see that often Post race

wasn't able to eat/drink too much but got a Clif bar from TRIBMAC and had some H20
I think this really came back to haunt me - i usually have a bagel, some fruit and some coffee that gives me a little kick
