when I hit the "quote" button to quote switch's post, the message was automagically truncated at her "<" sign.

It's the 21st post in that thread.  I can't figure out how to link directly to a *post* in a thread, or I'd do that.  Sorry.

 

It's her reply to my first post in that thread.... to which I then tried to reply and got the truncation when hitting the quote button.

Also, when I try to quote this message, you can see that MY line with the < symbol in it is truncated.  It seems that it only truncates the line, not the entire message.

I'm using Windows 7, Firefox 21.0.

 

My preferences are currently set to use the rich-text editor for posts.

Another data point:   Also happens with IE8.

BUT, since IE8 is SO SLOW to load the page, I can see the quoted text in the "plain text" editor before the rich text editor has time to load.    The TEXT IS ALL THERE.   It's only when it's displayed in the rich-text editor that the line is truncated.

If that makes sense.
