Hey guys!

Last year I was lucky enough to stay right near the commons for the Boston Marathon. This year it is likely that I will be staying in Cambridge.

How insane do you think it would be to take the T into Boston marathon morning? Or is that even a viable option?

Thanks in advance!

It's insane EVERY morning! .........and driving is even more insane.

It'll be a little more crowded than usual, but still better than driving.

While I haven't tried it on marathon morning, so I could be wrong, I wouldn't think it would be too bad. I think it would be crazier in the afternoon when everyone is up and about and the crowds are trying to make their way in to spectate. If you're just trying to get in to catch the early shuttle to Hopkinton, I think it should be fine...

I am running Boston in April and Ironman Lake Placid is in July. I have been told that it is ambitious to think about doing an IM so close to a marathon due to the recovery time. Any suggestions?

I have been able to swim 200-300 yards without stopping for the past couple of weeks, but this morning I couldn’t swim more than 50. Could not eating make a big differance?

This is not an easy task, especially for the “9-to-5er” with family. But you can do it – all without sacrificing your marriage, job or family.

Once you caught your breath, it occurred to you that finishing even a short triathlon might be harder than you thought. After a few "laps" you thought, "I can't believe I'm so out of shape."
