Mile 3: 6:13

Fast pace out of the gate as usual for a 5k. Ran hard and wanted to be sub 20 for it. Came around the corner to see the clock at 18:XX. I was pretty excited to know that I was going to finish just over 19:00. I haven't had a 5k that fast since high school cross country days.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had weight issues. I remember standing on the scale as a child weighing 60 pounds and feeling fat. My family dealt with stress by eating.
