Pre-race routine:

Woke up early, ate a pop tart, checked out of the hotel, drove to the parking venue. Set up transition.

Event warmup:

Waded in the water it was 37F!!!! Water was low 70's. It was to cold to move.

There were some dangerous bottlenecks, and interactions with traffic. It was well supported though with lots of volunteers marking any turn and stopping traffic. Had a jeep that came within 6'' of me on one of the roads, scary stuff.

Hilly!! this was probably the hardest 10K I have ever done. There was a killer hill within the first mile.

Room for improvement, but it's the first TriRock Lake Geneva. I would do it again. Some areas on the bike that could be changed.

I looked at the swim buoys and start thinking, "Man! How am I ever going to swim that? That looks like a very long distance from the bridge. I have never done it in one go." There's no turning back.
