Coming up this Sunday, 9/22. Anyone else signed up? I think last year there was a good group of people here doing it.

I went out there yesterday and swam the route a few times and did the bike route. Water was a little chilly, but nice once you were in there for a few minutes. Hopefully the waves hold off, unlike last year where people were surfing. Bike route was in good shape except for the last 3-4 miles along the water. It was half re-paved and kind of rough. If they pave it this week it will be nice to have that final push nice and smooth.

I'm doing Clough instead. Yes I'm a wimp and chose the warmer lake temps..

Yep, I love this race. It has been a bit chilly though. Hopefully we at least get 50's in the morning at gun time.

Sunday is looking like some rain right now. Hopefully nothing crazy, but any rain would kind of stink. The water was definitely chilly at first, but on the whole once I got moving it was ok. The bike may be really cold if there isn't any sun out at 8 oclock.

I'll be there this year. Looks like rain and possible thunderstorms, yikes. My oly got cancelled this year so I'm really hoping the weather holds out for this race!

It's looking like rain most of the night and tomorrow morning. Ugh. Never done a race in the rain but I imagine the bike would be a challenge. Hopefully the real storm holds off.

By gradually running for increasingly longer periods on a softer surface, you will learn the technique and come to realize the benefits in injury prevention and speed.

What? This isn't a duathlon?
