OK...it's not your situation and don't worry about it.  These are 2 adults who are responsible for their own actions despite what value you place on the decisions that they make.  A better question to ponder is, "Why does this me off so much?"

Understandable to be severely pissed off at him for taking advantage and being so stupid as to ruin his career, but she shouldn't have been so stupid as to get involved with someone in the office either.

To which you are completely entitled to.  Eat, drink and be pissed off...it's all about balance and maintaining healthy balance means having a pissed off kinda day once in awhile.

I'm sooo with you there. I actually stood on the front lawn and launched socks at Eric this morning in anger. Of course, they're socks. They weren't balled up, so they flew about 5 feet. Meanwhile, Eric's standing 20 feet away.

The good news is that she'll be less of an overly emotional idiot in the future.

Ah, hate to support the Ahole but a 40 year old guy finds a 20 year old to hook up with and we blame him?  I've probably been that Ahole for several women but everyone knows what they are doing, especially the women.

Seriously, why do you care?  I mean if she does every guy in the office does it really matter?  She sounds very lonely to  me an is looking for someone to love her.  Not going to find it that way, but perhaps the nice engineer guy, I'm an engineer too and partial, will add up to something she is looking for.  Make sure she knows her responsibilities and that office relationships will not be an excuse.
