Subject: Custom HIM plan vs Stock HIM Plan
I'm looking at either a custom HIM plan or one of the following stock plans leading me into the Lake Stevens HIM. I'm a marginally better cyclist and runner than I am swimmer. But, I am doing swim focus so hopefully the gap will narrow. Assuming I have all the time in the world to train and recover and am looking to go as fast as I can, would a custom plan @ 4 x each sport per week be better for me or one the plans bellow? The intermediate plan calls for someone who has completed a HIM before, which I have not done. I have only completed Olympic length events.

This plan is designed to make you go faster. 3 workouts per week in each sport, 2 days of strength training and core work. The maximum volume is around 14 hours toward the end of the 10 weeks.

This plan is an advanced plan in terms of volume and intensity and appropriate for someone who is looking to go under 5:00 and as fast as 4:30. There isn’t a lot of fluff in the plan.
