A friend asked me if I wanted to join his team for the Palmetto 200.  Boy is this going to be interesting, have not really run at all since the Rev 3 race...I did Hood 2 Coast in 2012 and it was AWESOME so I am really looking forward to this one.

Anyone else doing it?

on the edge. there is a co-ed team that is really wanting me to run it... all sub 3:10 marathoners and im pretty sure the chicks are the fastest on the team.

haven't really been running much so i'm hesitant about doing it and injuring myself and losing 6 weeks of training.

my team will be a co-ed team as well.  First thing I asked was if they are trying to be competitive or just having fun.  They all responded as just having fun and being social.  I figured I could suffer my way through it since it is not going for it.

I see where you are coming from through, guy here at work is on the fence as well because some friends asked him to do it but they are going to try to win the whole thing.  They are all former track and cross country guys from Clemson.

I'm doing it, but I'm signed up with a group that is definitely not elite, no sub-3:10 marathoners here. It seems pretty fun, and definitely a different kind of race. We just started working out the different assigned legs of the race; I'm looking around 26-28 miles total. Should be interesting...

our group is looking to max out at 9 total.  We are sitting at 7 right now...have not started assigning the legs yet...

These type of races really are a lot of fun!  Hood 2 Coast was by far the most fun race I have ever done!  By the time the next morning rolls around everyone is so tired and sleep deprived it becomes pretty funny and interesting.
