Pre-race routine:

woke up early 615a and got bagels for whole family. ate whole wheat with eggs and cheese. I bit heavy but still was craving food from yesterday's long bike ride.

just light jog from car to race and dynamic stretching.

Very happy with my run. pace was fine throughout. pushing the downhill and let off a bit uphill. felt good at finish.

Cotswold super sprint - UK. Lots of bodies colliding, I swam half over someone, got kicked by some bloody breaststroker, and as a mob we poured towards the first buoy.

Already a cyclist and not a bad swimmer, I figured all I had to do was build up to running a few miles and I’d be ready to go. The challenge invigorated me, and I ran out to buy new running shoes.
