Boilermaker - Run

Run
Comments: Intended 7-minute miles. First mile felt so good that I just kept going. Drinking water at aid stations combined with the 4-mile climb made my stomach sick. Stopped taking water after mile 5 or 6 and it helped. Overall, an excellent race. I ran a good pace and felt like I had given it everything by the finish. What would you do differently?: Maybe I should have had more steady pacing, but I think with the hills the fluctuations are fine. Post race
Warm down: 4 minutes of very slow jogging, then standard stretches. What limited your ability to perform faster: My stomach. Event comments: This was my second boilermaker. It is a perfect run, except for some congestion in the first four miles if you are seeded higher than 2000. I plan to run it every year for the rest of my life and I highly recommend it.
