Comments:

Had to tell a teenager to quit crossing my path. She was zig zagging all over and I had to stop. There was tons of room so she just couldn't swim straight. I feel pretty confident I will do ok at Honu as I guessed my swim time would be 51 min. Felt thirsty though halfway through. Second half I pushed my pace more but I never went balls out the whole race.

Event comments:

Small low budget local race. Half the entrants didn't use fins

I am still pretty weak in the water and have a pair of Zoomers that I use for drills. What do you think of wearing fins to swim in the pool until I build up endurance?

Most of us in the triathlon world are concerned with more than just fat burning. There are certain situations when it’s appropriate to use fins during a workout.
