Post race
Warm down:

drank a beer, walked to the car, about 500 meters away and it was torture. My legs totally had started to shut down.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Mostly the humidity and the course beat me up too. The pavement began to destroy my quads and although I made it to 50k sub 5 hours, I would slow down a lot.

Event comments:

I am very happy with the results. 1. I finished 2. I won my age group 3. even though I made it to mile 50 at Leadville in 2012, I did not finish the race. This race officially qualifies this statement: Dick Dime is an ultra-runner.

First race where I received an award since my traumatic brain injury in 2009. I really hope that this is a start of something and confirmation of my continued dedication to recovery.
