There were 31 turns on this course. 31! On a 56 mile course...Bad. The roads were terrible. The weather was perfect though, beautiful day.

Finally felt my left foot (frozen from the swim) at mile 3. I was out of energy and didn't seem to care at this point. Ran/Walked the rest of the way, talked to people and tried to enjoy myself.

The super cold water.

Event comments:

The volunteers and spectators are amazing on this course, which kind of helps to hide the fact that the course really isn't that great.

It was the morning of Ironman Newfoundland 70.3, I felt queasy. I didn't want to eat or drink anything. I had a full blown case of the pre-race HEEBEE GEEBEES.
