Total Time = 1h 36m 37s
Overall Rank = 230/468
Age Group = Female 15-19
Age Group Rank = 6/12
Pre-race routine:

Woke up and kind of rushed around to get everything ready. I was pretty tired because I babysat the night before and I got a little under 4 hours sleep (I was told I would be babysitting til 7:30pm at the latest but parents showed up at midnight). I ate PB toast on the drive from Green Bay there.
Event warmup:

None
Swim
  • 11m 4s
  • 481 yards
  • 02m 18s / 100 yards
Comments:

VERY crowded. I couldn't get anything going b/c I was constantly either running into someone or getting ran over. My time is almost 3 minutes slower than my swim time in the 1st triathlon.Very disappointing.
What would you do differently?:

I don't really know. Maybe stay more outside of people.
Transition 1
  • 02m 31s
Comments:

Went pretty smooth.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Bike
  • 57m 44s
  • 16 miles
  • 16.63 mile/hr
Comments:

Pretty nice bike. Some small hills which were enough for me b/c this was my secound triathlon. I need to improve on the bike but for now I'm happy with this performance.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Transition 2
  • 01m 14s
Comments:

Riding on the grass into transition was different, as I never rode on the grass before. Good transition.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Run
  • 24m 44s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 07m 57s  min/mile
Comments:

The run is my strongest point. I was very happy with my pace.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Post race
Warm down:

Hydrate, ate a little but the food wasn't that appealing to me.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The crowded swim. Getting less than 4 hours sleep probably wasn't the best. Now I know to either not babysit or give a time that I need to be home for if I'm racing the next day.

Event comments:

Pretty good event. The swim might be an issue to be revised next year.

Sounds like a pretty good second tri to me! I would be REALLY mad at those parents for getting home so late. I had trouble with the swim too. Nice run!

Hey,
Congrats on your second race. Glad to hear you did so well. That would have really made me mad about the parents getting home so late. Sometimes people can be so inconsiderate. Remember swim times can vary depending on conditions. Did you have as much excitement in your system as Door? That might have done it.

Congrats again!!!!!!

Thanks guys! I was pumped up before the race so that wasn't the problem with the swim. The problem was all of the people I needed to pass but couldn't becuase it was so crowded .
