Subject: Good Family place to stay for IMLP - 2015
Looking to do IMLP in 2015, and after searching the site, and the race groups, didn't find much in the way of recommendations of places to stay for the race. Would be me, wife, and 2 kids (ages 15, 12 at race time).

any recommendations from anyone who has done this? Better to be close to town? Wife/kids would need places to go/see/hang out while I was off doing my race thing. We'd be driving up from Boston area. Thanks!!!

Part of the answer depends on your price range. I am participating this year, and after volunteering last year and watching miserable kids being spectators I elected to spring for the Hampton Inn. From the balcony they can see the swim and it is literally in the heart of the action, and a few minute walk to everything. I justified the expense for my family to have a good experience and be able to rest in comfort when needed. Oh and it is right next to Lake Placid Brewery......

Close to town so you and your family can walk to town. Depends on your budget and what you can find when you call. Many houses go thru relators which add to cost and can be bit of scurrying sound.
