Age Group Rank = 49/56
  • 43m 7s
  • 2112 yards
  • 02m 02s / 100 yards

The swim went well and the water was fine. Couldn't see anything in the water and my goggles fogged up about half way through so my navigation suffered.
What would you do differently?:

anti fog the old goggles!
Transition 1
  • 06m 5s

Just tried to get into the mindset of what was to come. Calm and smooth hopefully
What would you do differently?:

Need to work more with getting into the cycling shoes and moving.
  • 4h 15m 20s
  • 56 miles
  • 13.16 mile/hr

Man, what a difficult bike course! 5 categorized climbs if I remember correctly 4 threes and a five! Definitely had to pace
What would you do differently?:

Train more :)
Transition 2
  • 03m 17s

I was just happy to be off the hills... that's funny because the run was no let up.
What would you do differently?:

  • 2h 48m 45s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 12m 53s  min/mile

Did better this time with interspersing running and walking. Just didn't have the legs to run all those hills.
Post race
Warm down:

No warm down to speak of really. Rev 3 was tearing down the finish line when I arrived....

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Event comments:

The destination is great for getting the family to come with you and the volunteers were AWESOME. I am really disappointed in REV 3 though. The expo was not set up for half the day and they were tearing down the finish line immediately after the award ceremonies. So for us slow people that meant no post race. Got the medal, towel and a drink. That was it. Rev 3 did not represent well in this regard.
