Event warmup:

Didn't warm up
Swim
  • 30m 54s
  • 1500 meters
  • 02m 04s / 100 meters
Comments:

No OWS practice for 2 years - last time was last year at the same race. Sighting wasn't good at first and went off-course a few times. Consider this a good swim.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. Continue to train minimally
Transition 1
  • 03m 31s
Comments:

Spent some time putting sun block on.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Bike
  • 1h 32m 16s
  • 26.2 miles
  • 17.04 mile/hr
Comments:

Fastest bike split in the past year - more because I didn't have to stop for traffic. Most of my rides are commute/road/bike path rides where I had to stop frequently for people.
Transition 2
  • 02m 4s
Run
  • 1h 04m 48s
  • 6.2 miles
  • 10m 27s  min/mile
Comments:

Very surprised on this run - I expected to have to walk part of the course. Ended up running all the way, only walked at the drink stations for some oranges/bananas and flat coke.
Post race
Warm down:

Cool down in the lake

What limited your ability to perform faster:

No desidre to go any faster

I looked at the swim buoys and start thinking, "Man! How am I ever going to swim that? That looks like a very long distance from the bridge. I have never done it in one go." There's no turning back.
