Swim
Comments: I had expected a better swim. The current was pretty strong as I discovered trying to round the 2nd turn buoy. A lot of interference from inexperienced swimmers. What would you do differently?: Start near the front instead of the back of the pack. I would have had less problems with slower "weaving swimmers. Transition 1
Comments: No flying start, I just didn't have enough practice. I did take my shoes off before my dismount and that went smooth. What would you do differently?: More practice and confidence with a flying start. Bike
Comments: I planned on about a 16.5 mph overall pace. I got 15.9, It turned out to be too much, I didn't have much left for the run. What would you do differently?: Not really sure. Transition 2
Comments: Not a bad transition. What would you do differently?: I'm going to have to practice jumping off moving bike. Run
Comments: A lot of walking, legs just hurt. What would you do differently?: Not sure. Post race
Warm down: No real warm down. Very tired and even light headed along with some nausea. Sat in the shade a lot until I was sure it would be safe to drive. Couldn't eat for a bout 2 hours after the race. What limited your ability to perform faster: Probably lack of training aimed specifically for this event. I just trained for too many different events. Event comments: Need a bag check in. I'll be back next year! Last updated: 2014-08-26 12:00 AM
