GW for year = 150 Kind of loose - Accountability - Support and posting on this message string. You pick the weigh day that works for you. I am starting the year at 223 and I am aiming for 208 by the first day of Spring. I am looking at a Wednesday Weigh in. (kind of a continuation of the Christmas count down) |

I am not posting my actual weight, but I will do weight loss. I am minus 3 pounds from the first of the year. Let's keep the ball rolling! |

Elite 3488 Lakewood, CO | Subject: RE: Winter Weight Reduction Okay 223 on Dec 31st - On Jan 7 218.6 - basically the gain from the Christmas party/Christmas splurges. Now the work begins. If I can keep away from the Peanut Butter and sugary carbonated caffeinated beverages (read rockstar, mtn dew, dr pepper) it should help immensely |

788 Across the river from Memphis, Tennessee | Subject: RE: Winter Weight Reduction Well... It's all Mike's and Robin's fault... cuz I'm taking another whack at this Okay, I ended the year at 257.5. I was up for Nov-Dec, but it did count for a 2.5 loss for last year. Yeah, it sucked. My goal for this year is a slow and steady 26lbs, or .5lb/week. Since this is an 11-week challenge, I'm looking for 5.5lb. I'll stick with my usual Sunday AM weigh-ins, except for 3-21 of course. I'm hoping that between ramping up my training to Oly distances and adding in stretching, calesthenics and some yoga will help make a difference. |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Winter Weight Reduction That made me snort my coffee! So.... 2 weeks into my Whole30 plan, I am finding it easier than I thought. It is basically the way I have been eating while removing grains and dairy. (THAT is hard). I may do it for another month. It is hard to judge if I am feeling any better since I am recovering from the flu and still only about 85% strength. Another month should show any benefits along with some more weight loss. |

Expert 1203 | Subject: RE: Winter Weight Reduction I am in. March 21st is my Birthday so a good way to remember the date. However, I weigh in on Mondays so I will extend it through that weekend. Cut out sugar, grains and starchy vegi's on Dec 29th and made a quick drop. Energy levels are a bit low at the moment but I am bouncing back and adjusting. Goal: Sub 200 12/29/2014: 218 01/05/2015: 214 01/12/2015: 01/19/2015: 01/26/2015: 02/02/2015: 02/09/2015: 02/16/2015: 02/23/2015: 03/02/2015: 03/09/2015: 03/16/2015: 03/23/2015: Beer...it's been a good run but we are going to have to part ways for a short while. It's not you, it's me, I promise. For now I think it's best that we just remain friends and I will call you in a few months after I have had time to get some things in my life in order. Love you |

1439 | Subject: RE: Winter Weight Reduction I would like to get in here too. Name is Ron and I usually do better at losing the weight when I am in a group or challenge, something about being accountable to others I guess. I am coming off an injury that really reduced my running miles late summer an into the fall. I managed to pack on 15 pounds. I will not say goodbye to my friend beer until the spring but we will not be enjoying each others company as much. I do have my son's wedding in two weeks, heading to Florida which is where he lives. I am hoping I do not go up to much the 5 days we will be there. December 31st I was 159 and I am looking to get 145 by March 21st and 135 by April 19th. So that is 14 pounds by spring. January 7th 158. |

Extreme Veteran 1332 | Subject: RE: Winter Weight Reduction I'm in!! After my accident last year, I gained some weight pretty quickly, and while rehabbing I got rid of a little, gained some muscle, but now want to lean out a little more again. I bounce between 186-188 most mornings lately, would be nice to get to the mid 170s I've got a sprint in May, so I don't want to spend too long losing weight, or do it too quickly, as I need to build up the lost speed! :p |

I know they have no place if I want to meet my goals. |

2 | Subject: RE: Winter Weight Reduction I would like to join. I'm a newbie, doing my first sprint in July. I had a baby last winter and am still trying to get back to pre-baby shape. 20 pounds to go. I had hoped to be back in shape by her first birthday, but that's in two weeks so not going to happen. I'm training for a marathon also (May), so the tri stuff is good cross training. I was a swimmer in high school, the cycling is going to be the challenge. More specifically, not strangling my cyclist husband when he gives well-intentioned but completely over my head advice will be a challenge. And sitting on the saddle for 18 miles. Things don't feel quite the same way down there that they did pre-baby. |

I am pretty sure he is not fooled |

Member 34 , North Carolina | Subject: RE: Winter Weight Reduction I'm in too! On the first of the year I set a goal of losing 24lbs (from 164 to 140). I have lost 4 in the last 10 days and I am giving myself 10 weeks to lose the remaining 20lbs. When I first started to see some good results in triathlon I was 144lbs and running much faster than I am today...over the past two years I have put on 20 lbs despite nearly year round training (ironman, and marathons included). I would guess some of this weight is probably muscle and I still see what I think are decent race results but they could be A LOT faster if I could get my run down to a faster pace again. It will be nice to have some support along the way! 1/1 164 1/10 160 1/17 1/24 1/31 2/7 2/14 2/28 3/7 3/14 3/21 3/28 Edited by haley913 2015-01-10 3:10 PM |

I used to drive through once a month when I had to go to Charlotte for training. I despise I-40 between Knoxville and Asheville tho. mmkay, let's get this started: 4-Jan: 257.5 11-Jan: 263.5 (+6). I don't know. I'm really hoping the batteries in the scale are dying as it was acting weird. 18-Jan: 25-Jan: 1-Feb: 8-Feb: 15-Feb: 22-Feb: 1-Mar: 8-Mar: 15-Mar: 22-Mar: 28-Mar: |
