I'm using a 910 and noticing, in my swim, it's counting elapsed time to calculate my average pace. So if I do a set then talk to a coach for 3 minutes (pause Garmin), and repeat that 5 times, it's going to count 15 minutes worth of non-movement into my swim pace (see 910 screenshot).

I was looking at a friend's swim metrics and at the bottom I noticed there's more data (see the 920 screenshot). So what's the deal with the average pace? Is this a known issue with the 910?

I have the 910 and mine shows moving time.  Not sure why yours doesn't.  Switch your Connect Garmin to classic view.  Do you see it there?  I'm still running Software 2.80.0.0.

I have the 920, and if I edit the file via the phone app, it messes up the time like you are showing in the first screen shot. If I don't touch the file and upload it normally it shows like the second screen shot.

Switched to classic view, no luck.

If you look at the 910 screenshot, at the blue graph - far right, you'll see an overlay of moving time. That's the only place it shows up. Strange!

I was Googling this problem and saw a few people say the same: if you edit the file in any way it'll mess it up. I guess I'll find out after Thursday's swim.

Yeah just don't edit the file unless its just the name and description, but only from the web page not the app.

as you can see here it kept the data you were looking for on my swim today.

I hit the lap button at the end of a set then stop the timer I stop the timer. This works.

The boat was being tossed around. Someone noted that there were whitecaps on the waves. Another guy said, “This is going to be challenging.” I began to wonder what he meant by 'challenging'.
