Overall Rank = 924/1074

Age Group Rank = 106/126
Pre-race routine:

Met with friends, enjoyed the ambiance.
Event warmup:

Light stretching, dancing to the drumline playing nearby.
Run
  • 1h 13m 13s
  • 6.2 miles
  • 11m 49s  min/mile
Comments:

Overall, it was a big bucket of okay. Near the end, I did have some hip discomfort, so I know it's time to get adjusted again.
What would you do differently?:

More running--definitely going to add more interval training to encourage a bit more speed too.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked a bit. Stretched. Ate.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Myself. The extra weight I'm carrying of late. I need to work on that.

Event comments:

3rd time running this race, and I will most likely do it again. And I LOVE having a drumline at the start to get us going--it just is awesome.

Dancing to a drum line is a GREAT way to warm up!  Gets everything loose, including your mind.  Good job, Kate!!

Do we really need chia, spelt, and quinoa? Is anything wrong with old-fashioned peanut butter, broccoli and brown rice?

We have new 10 and 20 week training plans for the New Year! These mini sprint plans are very conservative and will get any person thinking of training for a triathlon ready to cross the finish-line.

Cotswold super sprint - UK. Lots of bodies colliding, I swam half over someone, got kicked by some bloody breaststroker, and as a mob we poured towards the first buoy.

Already a cyclist and not a bad swimmer, I figured all I had to do was build up to running a few miles and I’d be ready to go. The challenge invigorated me, and I ran out to buy new running shoes.

Since I didn't have much time and since it's a super sprint, am I OK just go to at the training relatively hard through Thursday or even Friday?
