Warm down: Light stretching. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lots of factors: the heat, racing at the end of the workday as opposed to the start of the day. I hadn't planned on doing this race and had already done a longer, harder run last night. Today's race was also on a different surface than most of my training runs. Event comments: My time was slow, but considering that today was supposed to be my rest day, I guess I did alright. Talked to other runners who had run slower as well. Worked all day doing foot patrol. Drank as much water as possible. Day was a scorcher.
Light jog and some stretching. Figured I'd run out of fuel if I didn't eat, so I had a couple of cereal bars on my way over.
