I ran a very smart race. I started out conservatively by cooling my jets and keeping mile 1 at 6:12. I probably tried surging a little too hard for miles 2-4, which led to a mid-race sag (6:15 / 183 bpm). But I was able to pick it up at the end.

I did a great job of keeping right with people. I tried to draft behind some, but I also took turns out in the open. Thankfully, it wasn't that windy today.

I'd probably try to keep conservative for the first 4 miles, but then turn up the heat at mile 6 or 7, instead of waiting until the last mile to rev things up. I definitely had too much left in the tank by the end.
