Qualifying for 2016 Long Course World Championship

If you qualify they will send you an email with information on how to reserve your spot.  I went to Long course worlds last year and it was maybe a month after the race i got an email saying I could pay $50 non-refundable to hold my spot.  After that point I had a long time to make final payments...months later, not sure the exact time frame but it was enough time for me to collect funds to cover the whole trip and registration fees for going to China.

I didn't know the answer so I contacted USAT and the information they gave is that as long as you finish in the top 25 after the age up rule is applied (USAT age up all athletes to meet their age as of December 31, 2016—some athletes will shift up and down accordingly) then you will qualify for Team USA OKC. Roll down slots will be given to spots 26-30. They indicated that Athletes have about a week after the time the qualification emails hit their inboxes to pay the deposit for their spot. The general timeline is that it will take a  week to get their award email and then another week for them to pay. The person that sends these emails however will be out of the country during that time period for those that qualify at Redman so USAT indicated that is is possible that it could take a little longer than the typical time frame for that event. 

Note:  Guest countries only gets 18 AG slots at Worlds.  The host country gets 25 AG slots.

P.S.  I made my move from Marble Falls, TX to McAlester, OK yesterday.  If you want to meet up on a Saturday in Ada (or some other halfway point) for a long ride some time let me know.

The Freewheels Oklahoma Bike Tour is running this week.  Today's bike leg (June 11, 2015) goes from Ada to McAlester.  I was going to look into their bike route since I am new to the area no have no idea where to ride.  I was guessing there are some loops that would be good from a mid point too though.
