Event warmup:

A brief warm-up run and some bites of my PB Powerbar.

Comments:

I suck at swimming. I swallowed a gigantic gulp of nasty HK seawater 30 seconds into the race as I was breathing. Fastest time: 7:24.
What would you do differently?:

I would cool the swim down a little bit. I went out a little harder than I should have because I was panicking that I was one of the last swimmers.

Standard transition. I wasn't really trying to cut lots of time in T1.
What would you do differently?:

Not much. I might be a little quicker getting onto my bike, but that's it.

A sweet hilly route. I caught a lot of people on the bike segment, and pushed it for most of the way. Fastest time: 41:29.
What would you do differently?:

I probably went a little bit too hard, causing me to slow down a bit on the run.

Comments:

I totally missed my equipment because more triathletes had come and dropped their stuff around mine. I lost precious time trying to find my running shoes.
What would you do differently?:

Make sure I know where my equipment is, from the perspective that I am coming in on the back.

I went a little bit too hard at first and sagged in the middle of the race. I also did not get the hydration or fueling that I needed. Fastest time was 33:19.
What would you do differently?:

I would make sure to pace myself properly and bring myself home with a more vibrant kick.

Tiny jog followed by a short stretch session.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Pacing.

Event comments:

A great race with a great group of triathletes in HK! There were even some pro triathletes here. One Slovakian guy who smoked the competition but skipped part of the bike course, leading to a DQ.

Course: Up Shek O Rd to the road works, back down to Cape D'Aguilar, back up to the road works, left onto Big Wave Bay, back to Shek O. The distance is definitely inaccurate. It was definitely more than 15 miles.

Course: Flat road to the roundabout and a tough hill towards Big Wave Bay, back to Shek O, to the roundabout again, and back to Shek O. Again, the course measurement was most likely inaccurate. I am just going by the books, but I definitely ran faster than 11 minute miles!!!
