Comments:

No age group ranking. It was pouring down rain and the race started about a half hour late. Most of the competitors got tired of waiting and getting wet and started ten to fifteen minutes early; only the hard-core runners waited for the actual start. So, the results are skewed as some of those who started early actually ran the course.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. I'm happy with my performance.
Post race
Warm down:

Ate cookies.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I think I did well.

Event comments:

Good race. Raised money for the local food banks. Registration and check-in SNAFUs caused the race to start about a half hour late. Lots of people decided to start early, which skewed the race results as no one knew at the end who started early and who started with the actual race start.

In November of 2000, I noticed that I was losing the feeling in my toes. The sensation traveled up my body and within a week, I was nearly 80% paralyzed.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had weight issues. I remember standing on the scale as a child weighing 60 pounds and feeling fat. My family dealt with stress by eating.
